They boost protective features in the form of an Ankle cup, Heel cup, Shin guard, Toe cap, Toe sliders. Despite being designed to be snug fitting, it is not uncommon for the calf area to be wider so it can accomodate your racing leathers inside the boots. The BOA ensures a good fit and secure closure.
